Instead of hanging out in Las Vegas all weekend to see most of their recruiting targets, Arizona and other high-major coaches will be tempted to make a one-day detour to Colorado Springs, Colo.

There, USA Basketball will hold its U17 trials and coaches will be allowed to attend on Friday. Not only will 2015 big men Ivan Rabb and Caleb Swanigan be there but also UA 2016 targets such as V.J. King, T.J. Leaf, Dennis Smith, and Derryck Thornton will be in camp. The full USA camp roster is here.

Yet there are still a ton of UA targets scheduled to compete in Las Vegas showcases this weekend, starting Wednesday evening, between the Fab 48, the adidas Super 64 and Bigfoot's Las Vegas Classic. We will be attending all three later this week.

There's also an event in Louisville featuring many other top prospects.

Chance Comanche, a 2015 big man who is one of the top UA targets in Las Vegas this weekend, has set a Sept. 13 visit to Arizona, according to CBS Sports.

CBS' Jeff Borzello says he thinks Sean Miller will wind up with the top recruiting class in 2015.

Cheick Diallo, a UA target from the 2015 class, is sitting out the rest of July to rest a sore back.

Nick Johnson led the Rockets in their summer-league championship loss to the Kings with 17 points.

Maybe Richard Jefferson will be a good fit for the Mavericks.

Stanford picked up a four-star wing in Cameron Walker.
