Final: UA 87, Washington 86.

Wildcats mob Derrick Williams at center court, but he sticks his injured right finger outside the pile and trainer Justin Kokoskie runs over to protect it.

--

Overton found Bryan-Amaning under the basket again, and MBA threw down a crazy dunk to tie the game at 80 with four minutes to go. Final media timeout.

--

Derrick Williams converted a three-point play with 5:47 left to tie the game at 76 and then returned for a layup to give UA a 78-76 lead.

--

The Huskies are now on a 9-0 run, having taken a 72-68 lead on a dunk by Matthew Bryan-Amaning who now has 20 points.

Venoy Overton fed MBA on the same kind of high screen-and-role that Isaiah Thomas already has often. There have been no UA defenders able to get to Bryan-Amaning on these.

--

Terrence Ross has given Washington its first lead of the game, 70-68, with 8:28 left.

UA has nine turnovers in the second half so far.

--

Through 31 minutes played, Matthew Bryan-Amaning has 18 points, nine rebounds, five blocks and a bunch of thank-you notes to write Isaiah Thomas.

--

Isaiah Thomas drove in the lane then dished to Matthew Bryan-Amaning for easy buckets twice in a row, helping Huskies cut UA lead to 64-58 with 11:59 left.

--

Washington has cut the lead to 54-48 with 14:58, the first media timeout of the second half.

Arizona has seven turnovers over the first five minutes of the second half.

--

Halftime: UA 49, Washington 40.

Halftime stats: Wildcats 8-10 from three-point range. But only 7 of 24 from two-point range.

UA is outrebounding Washington 20-11 and Huskies have only one offensive rebound.

But Huskies have six blocked shots, five by Matthew Bryan-Amaning.

Both teams have eight turnovers each.

--

Five Wildcats have hit three-pointers, with Derrick Williams connecting with 7:43 left to give UA a 30-22 lead.

--

UA fails to score on three straight possessions but three-pointers by Jordin Mayes and Jamelle Horne put them ahead 25-15 with 11:47 left.

Wildcats are 4 of 5 from beyond the arc, with one each from MoMo Jones, Kyle Fogg, Mayes and Horne.

--

Wildcats have scored on first seven possessions, taking 15-6 lead at first media timeout. Venoy Overton has just committed his second foul, against Kyle Fogg on a made three-pointer.

--

Wildcats score on first four possessions to take a 9-2 lead after 2:11.

Jesse Perry has four points and one assist.

--

Lute Olson has been edited into the pregame video reel, concluding it by saying "This is Arizona." The crowd loved it.

--

Starters:

Washington: Gant, Holiday, Bryan-Amaning, Thomas, Overton.

Arizona: Jones, Fogg, Hill, Perry, Williams

--

UA players have entered the floor wearing long sleeve white T-shirts for warmups.

--

So who's Jason Terry rooting for today? According to a story Patrick Finley wrote last month, it would be Washington because Isaiah Thomas is, Terry said, "my little bro." Terry said he wanted UA to win any game except those against Washington.

--

ASU beat Washington State to snap a streak of 11 straight Pac-10 losses.
