A few evening updates from the first day of the November signing period:
-- Elliott Pitts signed his letter-of-intent for Arizona during a basketball parent meeting tonight at De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif., coach Frank Allocco told the Star via text message.
Pitts told the Bay Area News Group that he was "really excited" to sign the letter.
-- Sean Rooks says his son, Kameron, is considering fall signing period offers from Washington, Drake and ASU, while Arizona has offered him a chance to visit next month and accept an offer in the spring.
-- Jack Murphy said NAU signed an "explosive and athletic" group of five players to join his Lumberjack program.
-- Colorado added Mesa's Jaron Hopkins, a onetime UA target, and two other players.
-- Jabari Bird signed his LOI for Cal.
