Michigan pulled off a major recruiting upset tonight, landing a commitment from Portland wing Kameron Chatman.

Arizona was believed to be leading for Chatman, who hosted Michigan coaches for an in-home visit tonight. Chatman visited UA last weekend to wrap up a four-school tour that also included Michigan, Oregon and USC. He also visited Michigan unofficially in June.

Incidentally, the Wolverines and Wildcats will start a two-year series this season, with UA visiting Ann Arbor on Dec. 14 and Michigan playing at McKale Center in December 2014.

Chatman's father, Canaan, has been unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, in much less of a surprise, San Diego guard Trey Kell has decided to stay home.

Kell said on Twitter this evening that he decided to commit to San Diego State, where he was expected to after canceling a planned visit to Arizona for Sept. 21.

Kell was offered a scholarship from Arizona in late July while playing with the San Diego All-Stars travel-ball club.

Justise Winslow will take part in a huge recruiting weekend at Duke on Oct. 25, with Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones along for the ride.

Kyle Fogg is going to camp with the Denver Nuggets. Although he's a non-roster invitee, he's packing heavily.

Jahii Carson is easing into things with a stress reaction in his right tibia.

Transfers continue to be an integral part of life at Oregon.

Four of 10 coaches squirming on the hot seat this season, according to NBC Sports, are from the Pac-12.

James Whitford has pulled in three commitments in the last three weeks at Ball State.
