On a scale from one to 10, former Arizona Wildcats QB Matt Scott rates his excitement level for this weekend's NFL draft at about a seven.

His mom, Betsy, on the other hand is a different story.

"She's a lot more excited than I am," Scott said this afternoon. "She's got all kinds of plans this weekend. She set up a thing at a local restaurant for us all to celebrate after I get picked."

Scott is a tough prospect to handicap. Some sites have him creeping into the second or third round, while others still have him as a late-round pick. He has certainly gained more attention recently since his strong showing at the NFL combine and a good performance at his pro day last month.

Here's a look at what some are saying about the Corona, Calif., native.

Last week,'s Rob Rang listed Scott as a diamond in the rough, along with five other quarterbacks.

Here's the full profile of Scott from, which provides a solid breakdown of the signal-caller.

The breakdown compares Scott to current Bengals QB Josh Johnson. projects Scott as a fourth round pick and thinks the Panthers could scoop him up to backup Cam Newton.

ESPN's Mel Kiper listed Scott as one of the 24 fastest risers in the draft. (ESPN insider required)
