The Arizona Wildcats unveiled their first-ever sand volleyball recruiting class today, and it includes a set of Phoenix-area twins.

Madison and McKenna Witt both stand 5 feet 11 inches tall; together, the Mountain Ridge High School products make up two-thirds of the class. Irvine (Calif.) Valley College transfer Allie Cook is the other.

First-year coach Steve Walker said he "couldn’t be more excited to sign these three to the first ever sand team here at The University of Arizona. The UA will begin competition in sand volleyball next spring.

“Any coach, regardless of how short or long of a time period they had to recruit a class of prospects, would be thrilled to bring in a collection of able athletes like this group," he said. "They are all people of great character who will bring in a nice blend of athleticism, skill and experience that really make this a very good and competitive recruiting class. I will be anxiously waiting the time when I am able to put this group on the sand and in front our Wildcat athletics followers.”
