BOULDER, Colo. — Jen Reese put the brakes on Colorado’s free fall by scoring 22 points Friday night to spark the Buffaloes past Arizona

68-47.

Unranked Colorado (12-6, 2-5 Pac-12), which was ranked No. 11 in Week 7, had lost six of eight games heading into Friday’s game — including 10-point losses to unranked Washington State and Washington last week.

Before Friday, Colorado was shooting 37.1 percent from the field and 63.5 percent from the foul line. Against the Wildcats, the Buffaloes shot 24 of 48 (50 percent) from the field and 13 of 19 from the line (68.4 percent).

Candice Warthen scored 14 points to lead Arizona (4-14, 0-7), which struggled with 20 turnovers and shot just 34.6 percent from the field. Colorado blocked five shots.

The Wildcats visit Utah at 3 p.m. Sunday.
