Reporter Ryan Finley has a vote in the AP football poll. Here are his rankings:

1. Alabama

Roll, Tide, roll: Alabama secured its first national title since the 1992 season with a win over Texas on Thursday.

2. Boise State

Hate all you want, but Boise went 14-0 and beat two teams - Oregon and TCU - that ended up in BCS games. What more do you want?

3. Texas

4. Florida

Gators chomped their way back into the top five with a rout of Cincinnati.

5. Ohio State

6. Iowa

Hawkeyes showed Midwestern grit all season, even though they lacked in - let's call it style.

7. Penn State

8. Virginia Tech

9. TCU

10. Oregon

Ducks fell to Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, seemingly the first time all year they were stopped.

11. Cincinnati

12. Georgia Tech

13. LSU

14. Nebraska

Huskers reintroduced a spread-option offense to shred Arizona in the Holiday Bowl.

15. BYU

Cougars are 47-9 since 2006. Betcha didn't know that.

16. Pittsburgh

Utes finished their season strong with a win over Cal in the Poinsettia Bowl.
