The Arizona Wildcats will open their season Sept. 3 sporting a new, simplified uniform.

The UA debuted its new jerseys and pants during Saturday's team photo day inside McKale Center.

Players unanimously said they liked the new design.

The Wildcats' new jerseys have a block "A" on the collar and a Pac-10 logo on the shoulder, but little else in terms of adornment.

The pants include a new stripe that runs from the thigh past the knee; it matches the stripe on the team's new, retro-inspired white helmet.

The Nike-produced uniforms will give the Cats options, if nothing else. The team can choose from among red, white and blue jerseys, red, white and blue pants and white and navy-blue helmets.
