Sean Mannion found Connor Hamlett for a 10-yard touchdown with 1 minute, 9 seconds remaining and No. 18 Oregon State emerged with a 38-35 win over the UA tonight at Arizona Stadium.

Of course the Beavers did. Saturday’s victory was their sixth in a row at Arizona Stadium, and their 12th in 14 tries.

The Beavers persevered even as Arizona rallied from a 17-point first-half deficit; Mannion the team back from deficits of 28-24 and 35-31 in the second half alone. His final drive was a masterpiece: OSU went 75 yards in 10 plays on a drive that took 4:25 — practically ages in an era of no-huddle spread football.

Arizona took over at OSU’s 25 with 69 seconds to try to tie or win the game. Scott threw incomplete passes on the first two plays, then hit Ka’Deem Carey down the sideline for a gain of 17yards.

The Wildcats barely had time to celebrate their good fortune. Scott tried to pass short to Tyler Slavin on first-and-10, double-pumped, and then was intercepted by the Beavers’ Rashaad Reynolds.

Arizona falls to 3-2, 0-2 in Pac-12 play. OSU is a perfect 3-0 this season, and 2-0 in conference play.
