After eight weeks of sitting on the sidelines with a shoulder injury, Lance Briggs returned to action Sunday night for the Chicago Bears.

The former Arizona Wildcats great had a quiet return in the Bears loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He accumulated just one assisted tackle in the game, taking down running back LeSean McCoy in the first quarter. The tackle was Briggs’ 65th of the season.

The Bears have a big game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers to decide the NFC North Division. Briggs has 59 tackles, three interceptions, and two touchdowns in 13 games vs. the Packers in his career.

Nick Foles

QB, Philadelphia Eagles

Foles led the Eagles to their ninth win of the season with a 54-11 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 16. The former UA quarterback completed 21 of 25 passes for 230 yards including two touchdowns in the game. Foles’ 25 touchdowns this season are tied for the eighth-most in the NFL. The Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will meet Sunday at AT&T Stadium to determine the NFC East champion.

The UA alum broke his single-season field goal record Sunday with a 21-yard kick for his 31st of the year. The Jets play at Miami this week, a team Folk has 13 career field goals against.

Antoine Cason

DB, Arizona Cardinals

Carson had two tackles and a touchdown-preventing pass deflection in the second quarter of the Cardinals’ 17-10 win at Seattle. Arizona ends the regular season at home Sunday vs. San Francisco.

Brooks Reed

LB, Houston Texans

The Sabino High and UA product compiled four tackles against Denver in Week 16. Reed is averaging over three tackles a game this year as the Texans head into their regular-season finale at Tennessee.

Trevin Wade

DB, New Orleans Saints

Wade earned his first playing time of the season in the Saints’ 17-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The former Wildcat can help New Orleans claim a playoff spot with a win Sunday against Tampa Bay.

2 Missed field goals this season by Folk after his 49-yard attempt Sunday hit the right upright in the third quarter. Folk has converted nearly 94 percent of his field goals for the Jets.

Miller’s lone catch Sunday came in the end zone to give the Seahawks a 10-9 lead over the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth quarter. The touchdown reception was the former Sun Devil’s fifth of the season and second against the Cardinals. Miller and the Seahawks take on the Rams this week before heading to the playoffs.
