Davonte Neal won't visit the Arizona Wildcats this weekend, as he had once planned, but will keep the team on his list of finalists.

The Scottsdale Chaparral High School wide receiver/cornerback, considered by many the nation's best unsigned recruit in the Class of 2012, canceled his Tucson trip. His father Luke told the Arizona Republic on Thursday that a family matter prevented the visit.

Neal - who was awarded a four-star rating from Scout.com - will choose from among Arkansas, Notre Dame, North Carolina and the UA on Feb. 21.

He doesn't need a trip, official or otherwise, to be familiar with the Wildcats.

Rich Rodriguez hired Neal's high school coach, Charlie Ragle, to serve as the team's in-state recruiting liaison. 

The Wildcats signed two Chaparral teammates, Cody Ippolito and Dylan Cozens, though Ippolito is likely to "grayshirt" and enroll in January 2013.
