Matt Scott has never met Robert Griffin III. He doesn’t know Russell Wilson and, if he passed Colin Kaepernick in the street, the two would probably keep walking.
But one day soon, when he has an NFL logo on his jersey, the former Arizona Wildcats signal-caller will meet all three dual-threat quarterbacks — and thank them.
“Without them, I wouldn’t be looked at like a legitimate draft prospect,” Scott said Wednesday. “It started with (Mike) Vick a long time ago, but the read-option guys who have come along have put quarterbacks like me on the map and have given me a chance.”
