Calling all football novices.

Ryan Finley, the Star’s sports editor, will lead a special session for subscribers sharing tips on the fundamentals of football and how to get the most enjoyment out of watching a game.

The session, “How to Watch a Football Game,” is the third in a series of free workshops open to Star subscribers.

The first one-hour session will be on Aug. 24, at 1:30 p.m. at Casas Adobes Congregational Church, 6801 N. Oracle Road. The church is on the west side of Oracle between Orange Grove and Ina roads.

The second one-hour session is scheduled Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway. The church is on the south side of Speedway between Country Club Road and Tucson Boulevard.

Seating is limited and registration is required.
