At Nogales, in a season opener filled with first-game jitters and mistakes, CDO was able to take control and assert itself. Controlling the line of scrimmage, the Dorados rushed their way to the win and a 1-0 record while Nogales fell to 0-1.

Highlight reel: One of the biggest plays of the game came from CDO’s Tommy Sawyer, who caught a 41-yard pass that eventually led to a Dorados touchdown.

Player of the game: Max Smith of CDO rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

By the numbers: 365. Despite some miscues, CDO controlled the clock and the game, rushing for 365 yards.
