The preseason high school football All-Southern Arizona team continues today with No. 11 on our list of 22 players.

Check out a video clip on KVOA (Channel 4) tonight at 6 and 10.

The team was chosen by the Arizona Daily Star and the staff at KVOA and will be revealed daily through Aug. 22.

Jordan Mills • QB • 6-1, 180 • Cienega, Sr.

• Who he is: Mills is a perfect fit for Nemer Hassey's unpredictable offenses. He shows great field awareness and rarely makes a poor decision. He's content handing the ball off to his workhorse in the backfield, Willie Willis, but he's also a passer who can surprise you with his arm strength and accuracy, both over the middle and down the field. He's got incentive to perform well this year, as he's trying to impress college suitors. So far, he's been in contact with Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo.; and NAU. The Bobcats should be good enough this season to get him noticed. They got as far as the state semifinals last year before losing to eventual champion Canyon del Oro.

• Proof he's good: Mills found a way to stand out last season on a team that racked up over 2,500 rushing yards, including 1,506 from one of the top rushers in Southern Arizona, Willis. As effective as the Bobcats' running game was, Mills still completed 128 of 196 passes for 1,952 yards and 21 touchdowns. His yardage total was second in Southern Arizona to only Nogales' Keith Zuniga in the 4A Conference. Mills lost his favorite target this season, wide receiver Trent Simon (he caught 62 of Mills' passes for 1,063 yards and 12 touchdowns), but Mills feels the Bobcats still have plenty of aerial potential.

• He said it: "I just kind of want to extend what I did last year. I had 21 touchdown passes, and I want to exceed that; keep building my game and always trying to exceed that. I feel that even though we lost a lot of guys, we're not going to miss a step."
