At CDO, the Champions (3-0) scored two touchdowns in a row to put away the Dorados (0-3) in the fourth quarter.

Chavez recovered an onside kick after its second touchdown and scored another. The 0-3 start is CDO's first since 1999 when it went 0-10

• Highlight reel: Chavez wide receiver Jaylyn Shans scored on a 51-yard touchdown pass with the Champions up 7-0 to start the fourth quarter.

• Player of the game: Shans caught eight passes for 104 yards.

• By the numbers: 22. Points scored in the fourth quarter, compared with seven in the first three. CDO ended the game on the CCHS 1-yard line.
