At Empire, Sabino (4-2) used a six-play, 60-yard drive to open the game en route to a blowout victory over Empire (2-4). Sabino had touchdown runs of 70 yards by running back Alex Turner and 83 yards by Zach Joseph. The Sabercats defense held Empire to 181 yards of total offense.

• Highlight reel: Sabino quarterback Emilio Araiza fit a perfect 29-yard touchdown pass up the right side to Turner over a pair of defenders in the first quarter.

• Player of the game: Sabino tight end Matt Bushman had eight receptions for 195 yards and three touchdowns while having two sacks as a defensive end.

• By the numbers: 134. Empire fullback Sean Fitzsimmons rushed for 134 yards, including a 68-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
