At Salpointe, the Lancers (3-1) put up 44 points in the first quarter and dominated on defense in a shutout of the Falcons (0-3). Junior quarterback Cameron Denson scored two early rushing TDs, and the defense forced a safety to take a 16-0 lead.

• Highlight reel: On the first play from scrimmage, Denson took the snap and bolted untouched through the Falcons defense for a 65-yard score.

• Player of the game: Denson. In his first start at QB, he carried the ball six times for 183 yards, including TDs of 65, 8, 45, 10 and 40 yards.

• By the numbers: Minus-29. Catalina Foothills' total yardage against the Lancers.
