Just two months ago, doubt filled former Sahuaro guard James Molina's head. He figured with it being so late in the recruiting process, his shot at playing college basketball fell short.

This afternoon at Putney's, in front of family, friends and coaches, Molina announced he accepted a scholarship to NAIA Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas, located roughly an hour away from Wichita.

“I feel extremely blessed and I'm just humbled for this opportunity to take advantage of,” Molina said earlier in the week. “I just kept pushing and working hard everyday in the gym and never gave up.

"It's a dream come true.”

After a recent trip to Las Vegas with his AAU team Arizona Power Black, Molina received six offers. The next morning he woke up to five more. In total, Molina wound up with 13 opportunities to continue his basketball career.
