At Foothills, on senior night, it was only fitting that coach Jeff Scurran gave senior running back Ty Cruz the ball on third-and-goal from the 1, in overtime . Cruz scurried across the line for the go-ahead score, which likely locked up a Division III playoff berth for the Falcons (8-2), who went 0-10 a year ago.

• Highlight reel: In the second quarter, freshman QB Rhett Rodriguez, the son of UA football coach Rich Rodriguez, found Cruz deep down the left side of the field for the 49-yard touchdown.
