At Cholla, Empire (3-4) overcame a slow start to beat the Chargers (1-6), handing them their sixth straight loss. After a scoreless first quarter and the six-point second quarter, the Empire running game dominated Cholla as the Ravens scored four touchdowns in the second half to distance themselves.

• Highlight reel: Empire fullback/linebacker Sean Fitzsimmons returned the kickoff that started the second half 83 yards for a touchdown.

• Player of the game: Fitzsimmons. He scored two touchdowns of at least 34 yards each, led the Ravens in receiving and rushed for 112 yards on 18 carries.

• By the numbers: 111. Empire had two players run for at more than 100 yards as Chance Hatfield ran for 111 on 21 carries in addition to Fitzsimmons’ total.
