At Mountain View, the Mountain Lions (7-3) scored 35 points in the first quarter to cruise to a comfortable win to lock up a playoff berth. Rincon (0-10) fumbled the opening kickoff, setting the tone for the night, and Mountain View scored five touchdowns of at least 36 yards.

• Highlight reel: Rincon senior running back Brad Davis returned a kickoff 85 yards with about five minutes left in the first quarter, but the Mountain Lions kept the Rangers from scoring.

  • Mountain View senior Richie Estrada rushed for 179 yards on seven carries, including touchdown runs of 54 and 52 yards.
