Rachana Bhat won back-to-back doubles titles, one singles title and helped lead Catalina Foothills to three team championships.

Now the senior is going out as the girls co-player of the year with her sister Kirtana.

The duo went 21-1 doubles this season with its only loss coming against Ironwood Ridge’s Marissa Baca and Kelsey Brown in the final match of the regular season.

However, the Bhats beat the Nighthawks tandem twice after that, in the Division II doubles state championship and the team state final a week later. Both also won their individual matches there and Rachana beat singles champion Sara Brown 6-1, 6-1.

Kirtana, a sophomore, went undefeated in singles play this year and will likely take the lead role for Foothills as her older sister heads to New Mexico to continue her career after going 62-4 in her four years with the Falcons.
