Today’s Division II girls singles and doubles championship matches in Glendale could come down to a showdown between two Southern Arizona rivals.

In singles, top-seeded Zaina Sufi of Catalina Foothills won 6-0, 6-0 to advance to the semifinals.

If Sufi wins her semifinal match this morning, she could potentially face Ironwood Ridge’s Sara Brown. Brown, seeded third, beat Nogales’ Cristina Oropeza 6-1, 6-1 to advance.

Sufi and Brown met twice in the regular season with Sufi winning both matchups.
