The Arizona Coyotes recalled forward Lawson Crouse from the Tucson Roadrunners on Tuesday, giving the NHL club some much-needed depth.

The 20-year-old Crouse played 17 games with the Roadrunners before being called up. The 6-foot-4-inch, 215-pound native of Mt. Brydges, Ontario already played in seven games for the Coyotes this season, recording five penalty minutes. He has played 79 career games with the big club.

The Roadrunners (13-9-2-1) will play at the San Diego Gulls on Wednesday night, the first game of a three-game, five-day swing through California. The club will return home Jan. 5 to face the Ontario Reign in the first game of a weekend series.
