Rio Rico rallied to defeat Goodlettsville, Tenn., 7-3 on Friday in the U.S. championship game of the Junior League Baseball World Series in Taylor, Mich.

Rio Rico overcame a 3-1 deficit to reach today's world championship game against Taiwan. First pitch is set for 11 a.m.

Brian Garcia hit a two-run homer and Sean Fanning belted a solo shot for Rio Rico in Friday's win. Ricky Paredes was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a walk.

Cesar Dominguez went 6 2/3 innings to pick up the victory. He allowed five hits and three runs while striking out five.

The Junior League is for players ages 12 to 14.
