SIGNUPS

Note: Signups are published Mondays. Email items to sports@tucson.com or fax them to 573-4149. Signups must include a phone number and how long they should appear in the newspaper. Due to space constraints, signups will run for up to three months. They can be renewed at that time.

BASEBALL

The Kino Baseball League is accepting teams for the fall season that will run Sept. 13-Nov. 1 in 10U, 11U, 12U, Wood Bat, 13U, 14U, JV and Varsity. 730-2506.

The Tucson DBacks 12U Majors Baseball Club will host an open tryout to fill roster spots for the upcoming 2014-15 season. Tryouts will be Aug. 17, 9-11 a.m., at the Palo Verde Park Softball Field. 576-0776.

The Kino Baseball scout team will be conducting tryouts for high school juniors and seniors on Aug. 23 at 9 a.m., at Catalina High School. 419-5137.

BASKETBALL

The Magic Basketball Association will hold tryouts for a fall season that starts Sept. 10. Tryouts for fifth- and sixth-graders are Aug. 12, 6-7:30 p.m., at Emily Gray Middle School. Tryouts for seventh- and eighth-graders are Aug. 12, 7:30-9 p.m., at Emily Gray Middle School. 323-3332.

The Arizona Crush Boys basketball teams are holding tryouts for 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade teams on Aug. 18 and Aug. 20, 6:30-8 p.m. at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. There will be a parent meeting on Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. 730-0826.

FOOTBALL

The Tucson Football Officials Association (TFOA) is actively recruiting individuals to officiate high school and youth football games this fall. 240-3319 or 235-0312.

GOLF

Mark Polich Golf, Tucson’s only complete indoor golf training center, is now accepting new students for summer junior golf lessons. Open to all ages and skill levels. Email markpolichgolf@gmail.com

The 30th annual Leo Golembiewski Celebrity Golf Classic will be held Aug. 24 at Forty Niner Country Club. All funds raised will go to rebuild local ice sports as well as to help find a cure for ALS. Check-in begins at 11 a.m. and the shotgun start begins at 1 p.m. 326-9000 or 749-5530.

The nonprofit Southern Arizona Junior Golf Association seeks kids 6-18 for lessons, tournaments and more. 237-9895.

The Marana High Alumni golf tournament will be held Oct. 12 at 8 a.m. at Canoa Ranch Golf Course. 240-9305.

SOCCER

Freedom Soccer Club will hold registration for the fall season for boys and girls ages 4-18 at the McDonald’s at Craycroft and Golf Links, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., on Aug. 16, 23 and 30. Copy of birth certificate is required. 747-8591.

TENNIS
