The Arizona Wildcats were ranked No. 14 today in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 preseason poll.

Mike Candrea's team was the fourth-highest Pac-12 team in the poll, which was topped by defending champ Alabama at No. 1 and national runner-up Oklahoma at No. 2.

Cal was ranked third, Arizona State fourth and Oregon sixth. Washington (No. 16), UCLA (No. 19) and Stanford (No. 20) round out the poll for the Pac-12, which was tied with the SEC with seven teams apiece.

The UA opens the season Feb. 8 at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe.
