The Arizona Wildcats barely avoided slipping out of the softball poll Tuesday for the first time in the history of the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25, tying for No. 25.

The Wildcats and North Carolina tied for the poll's last spot after the UA went 1-4 last week, including two run-rule losses at Oregon.

The 27-17 Wildcats, who fell three spots from last week, host No. 19 UCLA in a three-game series starting Thursday.
