Chelsea Goodacre's homer and two-run double helped the No. 22 Arizona softball team beat No. 17 Washington 7-4 on Sunday at Hillenbrand Stadium.

Her double put UA up 2-0 in the first inning, and her solo shot in the fifth broke a 4-4 tie. Mandie Perez added a two-run homer for UA (21-9, 1-1 Pac-12) in the fifth.

The Huskies (23-8, 1-1) loaded the bases in the sixth and had two on in the seventh, but double plays helped UA pitcher Shelby Babcock escape both jams.

Babcock (10-3) gave up three earned runs on 10 hits.

The Cats will try to win the series with Washington tonight at 7 at Hillenbrand.
