The University of Arizona softball team smashed three more home runs Sunday in a 7-2 win over host California in the rubber game of the series.

UA, which has hit 70 long balls in 43 games, got homers from Chelsea Goodacre, Katiyana Mauga and Mo Mercado. Goodacre’s 16th blast of the year tied the game at 1 in the second inning, while Mauga’s 15th and Mercado’s ninth were back-to-back shots in the fourth to give UA a 3-1 lead.

Arizona (34-9, 9-6 Pac-12) broke the game open with four runs on five hits in the sixth. Kellie Fox and Goodacre both had doubles in the inning.

Estela Piñon (13-5) went the distance to earn the win, allowing three hits and striking out four. Piñon allowed only two hits after Cal’s Danielle Henderson hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first.

The Wildcats are off until April 23, when they host New Mexico State in a doubleheader at 4 and 6 p.m.
