The Arizona softball team’s offense has been much more potent at home than on the road all season, but that changed Friday.

The No. 9-ranked Wildcats routed host California 15-5, scoring four runs in the third inning and six in the seventh to improve to 33-8 overall, 8-5 in the Pac-12.

Kellie Fox went 3 for 5 with five RBIs and two doubles while Katiyana Mauga was 3 for 5 and drove in three.

Mauga wrapped up the scoring with her 14th homer of the year, a two-run shot in the seventh.

Hallie Wilson, Kelsey Rodriguez and Lauren Young all had two hits for UA.

Cal (20-16, 3-5) trailed just 6-4 after four innings but was outscored 9-1 the rest of the way. Bears pitcher Katie Finch made six illegal pitches in the loss.

Estela Piñon (12-5) earned the win despite allowing four runs in four innings.

The teams meet again at 1 p.m. today in Berkeley, Calif.
