The University of Arizona softball team has been hurting opponents all year with the long ball, but the Wildcats met their match Friday night in Seattle.

Hooch Fagaly hit a walkoff grand slam with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give host Washington an 11-7 win over UA.

The Huskies (29-12, 9-8) also got homers from Ali Aguilar and Whitney Jones.

Fagaly’s blast came off Kenzie Fowler (8-5), who allowed five runs and walked seven in two innings.

Arizona (39-10, 12-7) got homers from Hallie Wilson and Chelsea Goodacre to increase their nation-leading total to 94 in 49 games.

Goodacre’s two-run homer gave the Wildcats a 6-3 lead in the fourth inning, but Aguilar hit a three-run shot in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game at 6.

Wilson had three hits for UA, while Kellie Fox and Mo Mercado each had two.

The teams meet again at 7 p.m. today.
