The Arizona softball team is taking out some frustration on Oregon State.
The No. 7-ranked Wildcats (27-6, 2-3), who opened Pac-12 play by being swept at UCLA last weekend, defeated Oregon State 13-1 on Sunday, the second straight day they’ve run-ruled the Beavers.
Arizona blasted five homers Sunday, including two by Katiyana Mauga. Hallie Wilson, Kellie Fox and Mo Mercado also went deep for the UA, which has 51 homers in 33 games.
Mauga and Wilson each drove in three runs for the UA, which scored five runs in the first inning and six in the third.
Kenzie Fowler (5-2) earned the win. She allowed one hit and one run in four innings. C.J. Chirichingo accounted for Oregon State’s only run when she homered off Fowler in the fourth inning.
The teams wrap up their three-game series at noon today.
