Sunnyside has a chance to achieve a big first tonight when it takes the field looking for its fifth straight win.

The south side 12-and-under club and West Region champions with take on undefeated McLean, Va., in the finals of the Little League Softball World Series tonight in Portland, Ore., at 8. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.

With a win, Sunnyside, the Arizona state champions, will become the first softball World Series champion out of Arizona in the event.

It is the first Arizona-based team to reach the finals since 2002 and could also be the first West Region team since 1990 to win the title.

Sunnyside (4-1) cruised past Puerto Rico with a 10-0 run-rule victory in Tuesday night's semifinals as Jazmine Ayala and Yannira Acuña combined for a four-inning no-hitter.

McLean, the Southeast Region champions, have beat all five teams they faced in Portlant, outscoring them 38-11, including a 6-3 win over Robbinsville, N.J. to reach the finals.
