BALTIMORE - Landon Donovan scored once and set up three other goals as the United States cruised to a 5-1 win over El Salvador on Sunday to move into a CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal match against Honduras.

Clarence Goodson and Joe Corona scored in the first half and Eddie Johnson, Donovan and Mix Diskerud added second-half goals for the Americans. Honduras beat Costa Rica 1-0 later Sunday on a header by Andy Najar to advance to Wednesday's game against the U.S.

"I think Landon proved again today how valuable he is and how he can make a difference," coach Jurgen Klinsmann said. The U.S. has won nine consecutive full internationals - a national record.

• Phil Woosnam, a former Welsh soccer star who served as the North American Soccer League's commissioner and had a brief stint as coach of the U.S. national team, died Friday in Georgia of cancer. He was 80.

Ex-Auburn player Barber found dead

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Former Auburn basketball player Korvotney Barber, a McDonald's All-American who went on to average 10.9 points and 7.2 rebounds for the Tigers from 2005-09, died of an apparent drowning, authorities said Sunday.

A passerby found the 26-year-old's body Sunday afternoon between two beach condos, police said. Barber, of Manchester, Ga., went missing Saturday night.

• Former women's star Mary Ostrowski, who led Tennessee to the NCAA Final Four in 1981, 1982 and 1984, died Friday of cancer in Bristol, Va. She was 51.

• Jerry Colangelo and Mike Krzyzewski arrived in Las Vegas with a group of 26 NBA and two college players to participate in a four-day camp to mark the beginning of preparations for next summer's World Cup in Madrid.

• Maya Moore hit a three, stole an inbounds pass and made a layup in the final minute as the Minnesota Lynx beat host Phoenix 82-77 on Sunday for their sixth straight WNBA win. Diana Taurasi had 26 points for the Mercury.

Florida LB arrested for barking at police dog

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida suspended linebacker Antonio Morrison for the first two games of the season after he was arrested for the second time in five weeks.

Morrison was arrested early Sunday for barking at a police dog and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. He'll miss the Toledo and Miami games.

• Dallas Cowboys backup defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford might be out for the season after possibly tearing his Achilles tendon in the first full workout of training camp. ... Miami Dolphins top draft pick Dion Jordan sat out the first training camp practice Sunday because his surgically repaired right shoulder has not fully healed.

• In tennis, Serena Williams won her 53rd WTA title by beating Swede Johanna Larsson 6-4, 6-1 in the final of the Swedish Open on Sunday. ... Fabio Fognini saved three match points before beating Federico Delbonis 4-6, 7-6 (8), 6-2 to win the German Tennis Championships.
