Spring Fling 2013

Canyon del Oro High School student Brianna Lopez, 18, speeds through the air while riding Mach 1 as the annual Spring Fling returns to Rillito Park  on North First Avenue and East River Road providing carnival rides, games, food booths, entertainment and fun for University of Arizona students as well as the rest of the community. It is the largest student-run carnival in the country attracting more than 25,000 visitors over four days with over 35 rides and a variety of different food from crab puffs to corn dogs. The event is organized by the Associated Students of the University of Arizona. The times for the event vary: Friday, April 12th-- 4 pm to midnight; Saturday, April 13th-- noon to midnight; Sunday, April 14th--noon to 8 pm. Admission to the event is $5 ($5) all weekend, free with CatCard, military identification and children under 7. Parking is $5 ($5) in Tucson, Ariz., on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Photo by A.E.
