Outdoor Venues

Birthday parties at Polly Anna Park in Trail Dust Town include unlimited use of the Ferris wheel, carousel and train.

Parks are located all around Tucson. Click the link above to find a park. You can rent ramadas, which are usually equipped with barbecue grills, or a meeting or conference room. Many of the conference rooms have kitchens.

Details: You provide everything for the party. The city website has a list of approved vendors for jumping castles and other amusements to add to your party. You'll get the ramada for five hours.

The splash pad at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park make the park a popular draw for birthday parties. While you can't reserve the splash pad, you can rent a ramada and use the splash pad at your child's next party.

Cost: Ramadas range in price from $10 to $30 per hour, depending on size. 

Details: If you're going to have beer or wine for the grownups, you have to get a permit at Marana Parks and Recreation Administration Office. It'll cost you $25. You can reserve your ramada online

Cost: Ramada rental at the club is $70; $35 for members and there's a $100 minimum food and drink order required.

Package details: You get three hours, plus tables, chairs, paper plates, cups, napkins, utensils and a serving staff. If you're using the pool and there is no lifeguard on duty at the time of the party, one will be put on duty at the cost of $25 per hour. You must order food from the club restaurant, but you can bring your own cake and ice cream.

Package details: Parties are usually booked on Saturdays for 2 hours, but the farm is willing to work with families on that. The first hour is dedicated to activities such as games, painting and planting pots and garden tours with snacks. The second hour is reserved for opening presents and cake and ice cream.

A fountain replaces a small pond that was once near the front of the old residence of Bernice Porter as the Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2150 N Alvernon Way, gets ready to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Looking for a way to preserve her gardens and home, Porter partnered with the Botanical Gardens as a place for a permanent home for the organization. It has become an oasis in the middle of town with 17 specialty garden on over five acres.

Movie theaters

There are three locations to choose from — Century 20 El Con and XD, Century Gateway 12 and Century Park Place 20 and XD.

Cost: The El Con and Park Place locations charge $397 for up 20 guests. Gateway costs $322 for 20 people.

Details: They come to you with all the materials needed to work with the kids on an art related activity. All guests leave with their masterpiece. There are two main birthday party packages. The Drawing Party is $100 for ten kids. They'll get to choose from Prismacolor Markers, chalk, oil pastels, watercolor pastels, scratchboard, gouache or paper collage. The Painting Party is $130 for ten kids. The kids will create an acrylic painting on canvas boards. Plus, they will get tote bags or piggy banks.

A one-hour small petting zoo is $225. They'll bring a capybara, a goat, chickens, rabbit, mini pig, a tortoise and cavy mara. For $10 more, they'll bring food for the kids to feed the animals.
