Avery Howayeck, 9, practices the "cowboy" trick as the Tucson Twist-Its jump-roping team practices on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Agua Caliente Elementary School, 11420 E. Limberlost Road, in Tucson, Ariz. Jump-ropers ages 7 to 16 practiced tricks like the "cowboy", "kamikaze" and two-person shared-rope tricks. An all-ages, all-skill level workshop is coming up on Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Emily Gray Junior High School, 11150 E. Tanque Verde Rd. The cost is $55. Coach Lauren Klipp says organizers are flying in coaches from around the nation to give instruction.
