The recipient of this week’s Ben’s Bell is Julie Longstaff.

She was nominated by Nancy Graham on behalf of the Council of Alumni and Friends of the John and Doris Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Arizona.

Longstaff is program coordinator at the school.

“She is central to the work of the faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students,” Graham wrote. “She willingly shares her knowledge and expertise to facilitate and expedite the work of the faculty and staff. She uses her vast knowledge of the university to pave the way for undergraduate and graduate students to be successful in their University experience.”

As program coordinator, Longstaff attends board meetings, helps plan homecoming events, and oversees scholarship donations.

“As a council member I personally know that her cheerful, caring manner is a significant influence in the positive manner alumni and donors view and support the Norton School,” Graham wrote.
