RECYCLING ELECTRONIC WASTE

Circuit boards are piled for recycling at a Dec. 17 evnent in Santa Ana, Calif. 

Tucson Clean & Beautiful is hosting an electronics recycling collection event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 19 at Desert Metals Recycling, 3119 E. Pennsylvania Street.

Working and non-working electronics including computers, printers and other peripheral items, printer cartridges, cell phones and other small household electronics, home entertainment equipment, telephones and other electronic components. 

Most electronics will be recycled at no cost. However, televisions and computer monitors will not be accepted. 

Printer cartridges will be recycled through Cartridge World Tucson to benefit Tucson Clean & Beautiful, and cell phones will be provided to Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse for reuse or recycling.
