- The Stone Canyon Community Foundation and the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation: The two groups teamed up to equip all Amphitheater School District certified classroom teachers with Garmin vívofit 3 activity trackers. The organizations split the $25,000 cost. The trackers will support the district’s wellness campaign, helping teachers to better engage in personal health and wellness, said Superintendent Todd Jaeger. “When we are healthy, we are able to focus on providing an outstanding learning experience for our students,” Jaeger said.
- Military Orders of the World Wars: The MOWW Catalina Mountains chapter presented the Tucson Airport Authority with a $6,000 check for the airport’s military lounge.
