● The town of Sahuarita is accepting requests from vendors to design and install a townwide wireless high-speed Internet system. Vendors need to submit a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) application, available at the town's Web site at www.ci.sahuarita.az.us under the "Procurement" link. Bids are due June 30. ● The University of Phoenix is offering three free seminars on getting scholarships for college. Sessions will be offered May 25, June 1 and June 14, all at 5 p.m. at the school's campus at 5099 E. Grant Road. Tim Dosemagen, director of academic affairs for the school, will conduct the meetings for students and parents. As an example of financial aid, the University of Phoenix is offering three $10,000 scholarships aimed at graduates of Pima Community College for study in criminal justice, education and nursing. ● Public voting has begun for Goodmans Eye for the Good Guy contest, which will award an executive director of a local nonprofit a $20,000 office renovation from Goodmans Interior Structures. Ten finalists were selected, including Lisa Hopper of World Care, Sandy Napombejra of the Tucson Children's Museum and Scott Blades of the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network. Votes can be submitted online today until 5 p.m. June 12 at www.GoodmansGoodGuy.com to help select a winner. A final decision will be made using the public votes and scores assigned by a panel of local judges.

● Honda Motor Co. said Wednesday it will build a $400 million, 1,500-worker plant in the Midwest as part of a $1.18 billion global expansion planned by the Japanese automaker to meet soaring demand for its cars. Honda officials would not say which states are under consideration for the plant, which will be built by 2008. Ohio and Indiana officials have said they are in the running .
● Copper fell to a one-week low in New York on speculation the Federal Reserve will continue to raise interest rates to curb inflation, slowing economic growth and demand for metals. Copper futures for delivery in July fell 17.05 cents, or 4.4 percent, to $3.6715 a pound on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, the lowest closing price since May 9 and the third decline in four sessions. Prices reached a record $4.04 on May 11.
● UPS Inc. announced plans Wednesday for a second $1 billion expansion at its main air hub in Louisville, Ky., in recent years, this time adding 5,000 jobs as the world's largest shipping carrier anticipates strong growth in global commerce. The latest project will add 1.1 million square feet to UPS Worldport.
