It’s hard to believe, but Arizona’s 2018 NCAA women’s golf championship team — which returns intact — opens the season Monday at the Annika Invitational in Minneapolis no better than the eighth-ranked team in a robust field. Laura Ianello’s 12th-ranked team enters the Annika field behind No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Arkansas, No. 3 UCLA, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 USC, No. 7 Texas and No. 9 South Carolina. The biggest change to UA’s team is new assistant coach Justin Bubser, who was the head pro at the Omni Tucson National. He replaces Derek Radley, who became the coach at Oregon.
