If you can’t stand the heat, try some of these ideas from area residents

Elizabeth Wisner has seen 26 Tucson summers. The native and Salpointe Catholic High School-grad thinks each one gets better.

“I think it gets easier,” says Wisner, salon manager for M Salon, on East River Road. “I love Tucson more and more each year.”

The newlywed loves being outdoors, even in the dead of summer. “If you’re in the shade, it’s nice.”

Her trick: She makes the most of the cooler, early part of the day. “In the morning, right when I wake up, I go out with my coffee and sit with my dogs.”

The other must to make it through the searing heat: a pool. “If you’re floating in a pool, you’re fine.”
