Cruise, BBQ and Blues Festival and Car Show

Something to please every car fan: classic, custom, muscle and antique. Plus blues music from the Bryan Dean Trio and The Coolers.

Baby you can drive my car ...”

— The Beatles

Once you get that song out of your head, you’ll be all set for the Ninth Annual Cruise, BBQ & Blues Car Show Saturday, April 1 at the Oro Valley Marketplace.

Our guess is you won’t be invited to drive anyone’s car, but there will be 135 autos there for you to look at in detail. Seems there will be something to please every car fan: classic, custom, muscle, antique. Prizes will be given for best of show, best interior, best paint, best engine and best presentation, so you know the vehicles will be struttin’ their best. And they’ll decked out to impress you: Attendees vote for the People’s Choice award.

While there, you might as well take in all the other things happening: barbecue, for one. And music — specifically blues by Bryan Dean Trio and The Coolers. And there will be lots of things for the kids to do, too.

It’s happening from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 12155 N. Oracle Road. Tickets are $5 at the door; kids under 10 are free.
