Michael Alexander Daughenbaugh left us on May 16, 2012 in Tucson.
Loved by many, Michael followed in the footsteps of his father, grandmother and great-grandfather and became an accomplished professional ballroom dance instructor and competitor. Born July 2, 1981 in New Port Richey, Florida. Michael is survived by his father, Alan Daughenbaugh; mother, Eva Rhodes; his beloved grandmother, Pauline Markham-Smith, with whom he shared many great adventures around the world, her husband, Robert Smith; brothers, Mathew and Christopher Daughenbaugh and their mother, Christine Daughenbaugh; aunt, Valerie Daughenbaugh; uncles, Ian Virnelson and Jason Funderburk, daughter, Sophia Daughenbaugh and her mother, Leah Boylan; many others in his extended family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Sonoran Ballroom Academy, 5536 East Grant Road, Tucson. In lieu of flowers, Michael's family asks that donations be made to the Michael Daughenbaugh Memorial Fund for Youth Dancers, at Sonoran Ballroom Academy.
