Shirley Margaret and Richard Breese
Shirley died peacefully at home on January 19, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 94. Shirley is survived by her siblings, Donald Stewart of Beaverton, Oregon and Edward Stewart of Tucson, Arizona. She is preceded in death by husband, Richard "Dick" Snyder Breese (2001); son, Richard Randall "Randy" Breese and sisters, Jean Funk and Mary Harrison. Shirley was born on May 14, 1920 in Toronto, Ontario Canada to Tom and Sadie Stewart. She moved to Stoneboro, Pennsylvania in 1935 where she met and married Dick, her high school sweetheart in 1940. Randy was born in 1941, and Shirley cared for him while Dick served in the Navy at the end of WWII. Dick trained as an engineer under the GI bill, and the family moved to Tucson where Dick spent a long career at Hughes Aircraft while Shirley ran their family businesses raising rabbits and then managing a trailer park. Shirley was passionate about her faith and was always searching for greater truths. She was a talented painter, enjoyed travel and genealogy, and loved to read. She was a devoted and attentive grandmother and great-grandmother. The Funeral is Sunday, January 25, 2015 at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Services at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Shirley's life.
