As part of VA Research Week, the Tucson Veterans Administration will host a veteran resource fair and town hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, in the R.E. Lindsey Auditorium, 3601 S. Sixth Ave.

There will be a short presentation on how VA research has improved veteran health-care outcomes. The Tucson VA director will also provide an update on the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS).

The veteran resource fair and town hall is open to all members of the public, including congressional stakeholders, veterans service organizations, state, local, and non-governmental organizations, and other community partners.

SAVAHCS leadership will be on hand to meet with veterans and their families.

Additionally, Tucson VA and Phoenix VA regional office representatives will be available to assist veterans during and after the town-hall meeting with issues related to their care and benefits.

Lunch and light refreshments will be provided, while supplies last.

VA Research Week highlights the accomplishments of Veterans Affairs research and development in improving the lives of veterans and all Americans through health-care discovery and innovation.
